Presentation Evening - Saturday 28th October 2006

Almost 50 skaters (roughly 50% rollerhockey, 50% artistic) took part in this event.

In front of an audience of members, parents and selected guests, our skaters gave entertaining demonstrations of their skills.

The Rollerhockey skaters showed off their expertise at dribbling, passing, shooting, defending etc. and the Artistic skaters showed off the full range of dancing practised in the Club ranging from Edges & Arabesques through to Free Style, OSP's, Novelty Duos and culminating with the first performance of the new club show.

The whole evening was a great success and was greatly enjoyed by all present.

Many thanks to Bridget who organised the whole event.

Tests Day - 7 October 2006

A Tests Day was held at the Soham Leisure Centre with Judges Carole Mould and Julia Phillips.

The day was a great success, with some skaters passing as many as six tests.

For full list of tests passed please see Results page.

Maidstone Open 2006 - 23rd & 24th Sept 2006

Sixteen of our skaters went down to Maidstone for this competition and had a very successful (if long and tiring) weekend.

Between them they brought back 22 medals AND won the Club Cup for 2006 !

WELL DONE to all those that took part, and thanks to Brian and the assorted taxi drivers, parents, chaperones etc for their support.

Dance Training Day

On Saturday 9th September a Dance Training Day was held at Littleport Leisure Centre.

Mike Ward, a very well known and well respected judge, came down for the day and passed on a lot of

good advice and tips based on his years of experience to about twenty of our skaters.

The girls worked very hard throughout what was a long day, and learned a lot about the finer points of dance.

Mike was kind enough to compliment all the girls on their attitude and behaviour throughout the day.

Many thanks to Mike and our coaches for a very useful and enjoyable day.

Hopefully we will be able repeat it some time soon.

Charley's Leaving !!!

Charley (Charlotte Allen) is leaving us to go to college.

She will be missed a lot by all of her friends here, but I'm sure she'll be back whenever she can.

We all wish her the very best of luck !
